New Principal Announcement

By the grace of Allah SWT, the FEA board is proud to announce the appointment of our new principal – Sr Amira Elmukhtar. Please join us in welcoming her. Sr Amira is highly qualified in the field of education and we believe she can lead FEA to become one of the finest institutions of children’s education. Here are a few words from her:

Assalamualaikum Folsom Educational Academy Parents

My name is Amira Elmukhtar and I have over twelve years of successful teaching experience in Early Childhood Education and Academic Intervention. I have a Master’s degree in Education (specializing in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment), a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I currently reside in Rocklin with my husband Abdalla. My children, Ahmad and Leenah, also live in California, where they work and attend college.

As your principal, I will promote the success of our students by implementing Folsom Educational Academy’s vision of learning and faith that is shared and supported by the school and our community. I believe that, “While parents possess the original key to their offspring’s experience, teachers have a spare key” (Ginott). Having this spare key is an honor that drives me to ensure that all of our students are engaged in the learning process in an environment that is safe and effective. As an educator, I have found the formative years of childhood education to be the bedrock of all learning to come. My passion in education is rooted in the desire to impact these blank slates through active validation, affirmation, and the belief that they all can learn. As a disseminator of knowledge and a student advocate, I will anchor my duties on central issues of learning, staff professional growth and fostering an environment that is conducive to learning.

WASC (Western Association of School and Colleges) Accreditation

Assalamu alaikum,

Alhamdulillaah, we are proud to announce that FEA has been fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, WASC (Western Association of School and Colleges)!
The process to attain and maintain accreditation is a rigorous one, and to be granted full accreditation on the initial visit is a reassuring sign of the quality of our school. You can find more information about the WASC accreditation process and what it entails, here:  http://www.acswasc.org/wasc/acs-wasc-overview/
We would like thank the entire school community (administration, teachers, parents, and of course, the students!) for supporting and being a part of FEA!
We have setup a separate section on our website for details on WASC which we will continue to update as we progress through the initial accrediting period: WASC Accreditation
Jazakum Allaah khayr!
Wassalamu alaikum,
FEA
