I grew up in Anaheim, CA, as one of four girls, the daughter of teachers, and the granddaughter of a teacher. I graduated from the California State University at Northridge with a degree in Kinesiology, and did my graduate work for my Masters in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. While I have taught high school, middle school, and elementary school, I am very excited to be teaching 4th and 5th grade again this year at FEA. I appreciate working at small schools where I can spend quality time with individual students. I believe in challenging my students and know that they can succeed if given a chance. I believe in making my classroom a safe place where my students develop into independent learners with a love of learning.
Thirty years ago I married my college sweetheart, and I have two children. My daughter is carrying on the family legacy as a teacher. I enjoy backpacking and playing USTA tennis. I really enjoy any day that I can be active and outdoors.
