Teacher FEA

Kathy Felter

I began my teaching career as a teacher’s aide, and I worked with students in grades K through 6 for eight years.  I obtained my teaching credential in 1996 from California State University at Sacramento. I have taught all grade levels of elementary education. I have also tutored part-time at Huntington Learning Center in Citrus Heights. I tutor students K through 12 in reading and math. I have been a teacher at FEA since its inception.

Personally, I am the mother of three grown sons who live all over the U.S. I am also the grandmother of five children. I am an avid reader and try to share my love of reading with my students. When they have silent reading, I am usually reading my book also. Besides reading, I love gardening and spending time at the beach.
