FEA Principal

Dr. Ray Cooper serves as the Principal of Folsom Educational Academy and brings more than 25 years of educational leadership experience in both public and private school settings. He is deeply committed to academic excellence, student growth, character development, and faith-centered leadership.

Dr. Cooper earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Supervision from American International College in Massachusetts, along with graduate degrees in Educational Leadership and ESL/Multicultural Education. Throughout his career, he has focused on building strong school communities where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed.

Before joining FEA, Dr. Cooper served as Executive Principal of Madina Academy, a PreK-12 Islamic school, where he led initiatives that improved student achievement in English Language Arts and Mathematics through evidence-based instruction, data-driven decision-making, professional development, and targeted intervention support.

His leadership philosophy is grounded in integrity, collaboration, service, and strong family-school partnerships. Dr. Cooper is passionate about creating learning environments that nurture both academic excellence and Islamic character while preparing students to become confident, compassionate, and capable leaders.

He also brings extensive experience in fostering positive school culture through PBIS, restorative practices, social-emotional learning, and student-centered support systems that help every child reach their full potential.

Dr. Cooper is excited to partner with FEA families, staff, and the wider community as the school continues to grow and provide outstanding educational opportunities rooted in Islamic values.
