National Award Honors Leadership in Whole Child Health and Community Engagement
Folsom Educational Academy has been honored as one of America’s Healthiest
Schools for 2025 by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a national children’s health
organization. This prestigious recognition celebrates 120 K–12 schools across the
country for their commitment to advancing whole child health through evidence-based
policies and practices.
Supported by Del Monte Foods, Kaiser Permanente, and Kohl’s Cares, the annual
award program highlights schools that foster academic success and lifelong well-being.
Schools are evaluated across nine health-related topic areas: Strengthening
Social-Emotional Health & Learning, Cultivating Staff Well-Being, Increasing Family &
Community Engagement, Improving Nutrition & Food Access, Implementing Local
School Wellness Policy, Bolstering Physical Education & Activity, Enriching Health
Education, Promoting Tobacco-Free Schools and Supporting School Health Services.
Folsom Educational Academy received distinction in the category of Family &
Community Engagement, reflecting its dedication to building strong, supportive
relationships with families and the broader community.
